Code Of Conduct: Respect for all in Soulframe
Digital Extremes is dedicated to maintaining a positive and welcoming community to all Envoys! Players who engage in abusive behavior, hate speech, or excessive profanity can be subject to significant account penalties.
While there is no uniform definition of 'hate speech', Digital Extremes determines hate speech as any speech that degrades on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, age, disability, or any other similar ground. Soulframe has a zero tolerance policy towards the promotion of hate, use of these terms will lead to a permanent account ban.
Profanity, which includes language that is considered offensive (swear words, obscenities, etc.) in everyday settings -- while not encouraged by Digital Extremes, is different to hate speech. If directed towards another player or intended to disrupt general gameplay, then this behavior is still considered abusive. Players are asked to be respectful to each other in all interactions. Soulframe should be a pleasant space for all players and if a conduct occurs that tarnishes it then Digital Extremes reserves the right to address that conduct, up to and including a permanent account ban.
How do I report hate speech if I see it in the game?
If you see violations to our zero-tolerance policy in chat, you can report the player responsible using the in-game reporting option detailed below:
- Option 1: Click on their name in chat and choose Report Player.
- Option 2: Click on their name in the user list in chat and choose Report Player.
If you see a chat or player name that violates the zero tolerance policy, please contact Support to describe the offense and it will be investigated by our team as soon as possible (please include screenshots where possible).
What can I do to help stop the spread of hate speech in the game?
The Soulframe team wants to be open and welcoming for all players. To help us with this goal, please treat your fellow Envoys with respect at all times.
If you see something in chat that promotes or endorses hate and intolerance of others based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, age, or disability please bring it to the attention of the support team so it can be addressed appropriately!
Remember, we all lift together and every player can do their part to make the game an enjoyable experience for all Envoys.
